How fortunate we are that, while we work towards living our homesteading lifestyle, remembering the old ways, we also have access to modern perks, such as the internet and medical supports.
Today, Rick is having his first cataract eye surgery and, although nervous, he is anticipating being able to see clearly again. Modern medicine is truly a gift that I wouldn’t want to be without when I need it.
How fortunate we are to be able to pick and choose the level of homesteading that we want to do, and, as I heard someone say recently - we still have stores as a backup if our crops fail.
Having said that, it is also nice that we are getting to practice our skills and learn from all of our experiences, especially when we share the journey with others, AND we pass down the knowledge to the next generations.
With each project we share, blog we post, tip we offer, and question we ask, we are building our tomorrow - with the help of modern technology.
And I am grateful.
