Every year, for the family get-together, I make a little something for each place setting.
This year, we are getting gnomey.
The Gnome
The gnome is a little mini mason jar, with handle, and the required gnome hat.
The jar is filled with hot chocolate powder.
The handle of the jar acts as an arm and I am tucking different things into the arm, to make them each unique.
The two shown in this image are carrying wood, one for a fire and other for building with.
The hat
Using my favourite yarn and crochet hook:
Chain 25
Check to see if your length fits the jar
Join to make a circle (hat brim)
Crochet 5 rows around
Then, continue going around, decrease by one stitch for each row until done and tie off
The nose
Make a magic ring with 5 stitches
Increase in stitch = 10
Sc around
Decrease for each = 5
Decrease again= 2
Decrease and tie off
Stitch nose to the underside of the hat. ✔️
That’s it .. a cute little gift for someone. - Debbie
