The Trellises #4: Fall harvest

It’s October 9th, and I had the morning free so I harvested the beans on the trellises.

They weren’t completely ripe, let alone dry, but, the weather has been frosty and it is not warming back up.
I had enough beans for a meal. Now, what to do with them?

  • I cooked them up (about 20 minutes) in salted water.
  • Drained them
  • Chopped up some onions from the garden
  • Chopped up a tomato from the garden (one of the last)
  • Mixed it all together and added
  • A good drizzle of olive oil and
  • Salt and pepper

What did we get?
A very delicious salad “fresh from the garden”. And it is October 9th.

Probably the last “fresh from the garden” for 2022

It has been a good year.

I’m a gardener now
